How to help

Mount Alexander Shire Council is maintaining a list of support local services, and organisations through which you can donate money, resources or volunteer time.

Harcourt Progress Association is on the ground organising in Harcourt to support individuals and families affected by the bushfires. Donate to the Go Fund Me campaign. Keep and eye on their website and Facebook for announcements of needs.

Volunteer and Equipment Register: Working in collaboration with a range of local organisations, Castlemaine Community House is coordinating a volunteer and equipment register to help longer-term bushfire recovery. You can register here.

Accommodation: The Dhelkaya Health housing team is coordinating accommodation needs and offers. If you have accomodation to offer please email Courtney Stephens cstephens@castlemainehealth.org.au. Note: Dhelkaya Health is also using the West End Resilience Fire Volunteer Noticeboard to source potential offers of accommodation.

BlazeAid: A volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and will soon be operating in Harcourt and surrounds. Register for Harcourt here.
