West End Resilience

Community. Welcome. Connection.

“Building resilience through connection”

The West End Resilience group was formed in early 2020 after the severe bushfire season. The aim of the group is to connect locally, support one other, and together adapt, survive and thrive in the face of acute shocks, like coronavirus and bush fires, and chronic stresses such as climate change.

We are a place-based community group open to anyone living on the west side of Castlemaine. We organise collective activities including social events, sharing gardening tips, house and neighbourhood projects, skills, tools and equipment sharing, collective cooking, look out for vulnerable neighbours and more.

“From food swaps to bushfire planning, a connected community is a safer, happier place to be.”
